Jubilant liberation of beauty.....

The transformation of mud into marvelous and sparkling objects is an alchemical act. The full power exercised on the clay during modeling is opposed to the uncontrollable enamel work. Surprise, letting go and imperfection are an integral part of my approach. Precious stones pave the eyes of my sculptures, idols with disturbing smiles. From the child 's toy to the mysterious fetish they are informed by the sculptural tradition of an object that one keeps close to oneself. A strange bond is woven at the time of enameling, between love and sadism; adding layers, polluting, spoiling, an expiation of my own frustrations, a revenge on the fatality of life.
